Day 1: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park
After your breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park with stopover at Murambi genocide memorial to experience the massacre information of Rwandese who lost their lives. Lunch en-route, and after transfer to the forest and have dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking- canopy walk
After breakfast meet at the park offices for briefing about the forest and the primates, thereafter enter into the forest searching for the chimpanzee in the branches of the trees and as you look for the chimps expect to spot other primates like the white and black Columbus, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and variety of birds.
Lunch and thereafter enjoy the evening canopy walk viewing various birds and canopies. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B
Day 3: Nyungwe-Lake Kivu/ kibuye (boat cruise)
Kivu lake adventure tour gives fantastic explorations of lake Kivu by visiting different islands such as Napoleon, Peace, Monkey, and Agricultural islands other islands in Kivu lake. After this good experience you will vist environmental museum and back to you hotel for evening stay.
Day 4: lake kivu/ kibuye- lake kivu/ Gisenyi
After breakfast from your lodge embark your safari van and transfer back to Gisenyi through Kivu Belt road mid way stop over for coffee sightseeing and upon your arrival at the shores of the Lake enjoy the sun bathing the white sand, enjoy the swimming, Everning join a group for fisherman and enjoy night fishing experience. Then back to your hotel for Dinner and overnight / Lake Kivu Serena hotel.
Day 5: Lake Kivu-Volcanoes Gorilla Park (Ibyi’wacu cultural village)
Have breakfast and then embark the safari vehicle and transfer to volcanoes Gorilla Park, a home to the some of the mountain gorillas in the mist. The park has got so far now more gorilla families launched for tourism gorilla trekking and each family is visited by 8 clients per day.
Experience village walk and visit the Ibyi’wacu cultural village. They perform cultural dance and Kinyarwanda songs. Dinner and overnight at mountain gorilla view lodge
Day 6: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking
Have breakfast, thereafter continue to the park headquarters for briefing about the mountain gorillas in the mist and the park as well, after enter into the jungle to search for the mountain gorillas.
Meet them for about an hour while taking the unforgettable photographs and videos. Return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B
Day 7: Volcanoes-Akagera Wildlife National Park
After breakfast, with your leisurely drive return to Kigali with visit to other museums, with lunch in Kigali and then after drive to Akagera wildlife national park an extension of Tanzanian plains where you can spot variety of wildlife species like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs among others. Dinner and overnight at luzizi tented camp.
Day 8: Game drive & Boat ride
Dawn game drive to look for early riser wildlife species and other wildlife like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, water and bush backs, among others.
Return to lodge for lunch and after in the evening prepare for boat ride along the Ihema Lake and over the cruise expect to spot various wildlife along the shores and birds as well. Return to lodge for dinner but before going to sleep,
Day 9: Akagera-Departure
After breakfast, embark the safari vehicle and transfer back to Kigali with lunch en-route if time allows another stop over to some local markets to shop souvenirs’ & gifts. After, drive to the airport for flight back home.
